Division Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Relations
Taneda Larios serves as the Chief Benefits Analyst of the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Division, focusing on internal and external communication functions and building stakeholder relations. The Division manages the Member Experience; Language Access Plan; Strategic Communications Plan; Branding; Crisis Communications; and cultivating stakeholder relations, including coordinating Pension Symposiums and other outreach activities.
This Division includes the Member Service Center, which serves as the primary point of Member contact; the Member Engagement Team, which conducts and provides benefit seminars and produces content for LACERS’ web-based platforms; and the Development and Marketing Team, whose role is pivotal in delivering on the Strategic Communications Plan and increasing visibility of the LACERS’ brand amongst its Members, peers, and stakeholders.
Ms. Larios champions innovation, waste elimination, and relational intelligence strategies. She has led several projects that leverage her skillsets, including leading the creation of the LACERS web-based Retirement Application Portal, implementing AI to improve customer service, and serving as a certified facilitator for the bi-annual Core Strengths staff training on relational dynamics.
Ms. Larios has a degree in Government and Communications from Oral Roberts University and has served at LACERS since 2016.
