Maria Melani Rejuso

Ms. Maria Melani Rejuso joined the Department in 2014 and is now the Department’s Audit Manager.  She reports directly to the Board and the General Manager.  Her primary responsibility is to oversee the Department’s audit functions and to help provide assurance to the Board and Management as to the effectiveness of their governance, risk management and internal controls.

Prior to LACERS, she had worked as Internal Auditor for the Controller’s Office Auditing Division and the Los Angeles World Airports Auditing Division.  She started her career as Public Accountant or External Auditor in a CPA firm- Ernst & Young Philippines also known as Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Company.

Ms. Rejuso has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Santo Thomas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
