LACERS Retired Members Update for November
LACERS OPEN ENROLLMENT ENDS TODAY
Today, November 16 is the last day to make Open Enrollment changes to your LACERS health and dental plans. Open Enrollment changes made by today will become effective on January 1, 2024. Unless you have a qualifying event, the next opportunity to change your LACERS health or dental plan will be next year during the Open Enrollment period for 2025.
IMPORTANT: THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY HOURS
The Thanksgiving holiday is quickly approaching, the LACERS Front Desk will be closed and the LACERS 800 phone number will not be in service from November 20 through November 22. Members can still reach LACERS for urgent matters either by leaving a voicemail at (800) 779-8328 or by emailing us at lacers.services@lacers.org. LACERS will be closed on November 23 and 24 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Please keep these dates in mind and plan ahead if you want to speak with a LACERS representative by phone. We look forward to continuing to assist our Members and wish everyone a wonderful holiday!
MEDICARE PART B PREMIUMS FOR 2024 AND MORE
All Retired Members and their dependents who are eligible for Medicare and who are enrolled in a LACERS plan must enroll in Medicare Part B. Please read our latest article covering 2024 Medicare Part B Premiums, 2024 Medicare Part B Deductibles, and information regarding Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts (IRMAAs).
