LACERS’ Member Engagement Team is popping up at a location near you! Throughout the year, you’ll spot our helpful and knowledgeable team around the City at these tabletop events. Stopping by is a convenient way for you to get your general retirement questions answered. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis so don’t wait to come see us!

The first 5 LACERS Members in attendance at either tabletop will receive a LACERS swag item.

UPDATING A BENEFICIARY FOR YOUR LACERS BENEFITS

When was the last time you reviewed your beneficiary on file with LACERS? Maybe your situation has changed since beginning your City career, such as when you got married or became a child’s legal guardian. Be sure to log into your MyLACERS account to view your beneficiaries on file. If you do need to make an update, complete a Designation of Beneficiary Form and submit it to LACERS. 

HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE FAMILY DEATH BENEFIT PLAN? 

The Family Death Benefit Plan (FDBP) is a voluntary program that provides a monthly financial benefit that may give your family increased financial protection should you pass away before retiring. An employee becomes eligible for membership in the FDBP after 18 months of City Service. There is a nominal cost per pay period to participate.
