JOIN US! DISABILITY RETIREMENT UNIT INFO SESSION COMING SOON

Prepare for the unexpected – learn about LACERS’ disability retirement benefits with the Getting to Know Disability Retirement Quiz! After you take the quiz, register to join LACERS’ Disability Retirement Unit for an informational session on March 31 at 11:00 a.m. Topics discussed will pertain to LACERS Tier 1 and Tier 3 Members. UPCOMING CITY HOLIDAY

LACERS will be closed on Monday, March 28, 2022 in observance of Cesar Chavez Day. LACERS office hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and Tuesday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To experience the lowest call wait time, contact LACERS Tuesday through Thursday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

TIER 3 PLANNING FOR RETIREMENT WEBINAR RECORDING NOW AVAILABLE

Tier 3 LACERS Members can now view a recording of a Tier 3 Planning for Retirement (PFR) webinar! For Tier 1 Members, Part 1 and Part 2 videos of the PFR presentation are also available. You can watch these videos along with many others at any time and at your own pace on the LACERS YouTube channel.

Join Alzheimer’s Los Angeles (ALZLA) for a Brain Health class via Zoom on March 23 at 2:00 p.m. You can also attend the next session of Kaiser Permanente’s healthy eating well-being webinar series on April 18 at 10:00 a.m.

GET RETIREMENT READY WITH A RETIREMENT APPLICATION PORTAL DEMO

Take time to learn about LACERS’ Retirement Application Portal (RAP). Visit the Applying for Retirement Online webpage for details, and sign up for the upcoming RAP Demonstration webinar on April 5 at 11:00 a.m. via MyLACERS. Can’t make it to the webinar? Watch a recording of a prior RAP Demonstration on the LACERS YouTube channel.

Take a proactive approach toward retirement and attend an upcoming Planning for Retirement Seminar via Zoom video conferencing. Additionally, make time to check in with LACERS periodically to ensure you understand your benefits and keep your information up-to-date.
