City Wellness Festival
Tues June 26th 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The City’s LIVEwell Wellness Program is hosting a free, outdoor festival so that employees can get acquainted with the many resources available to them for a healthy lifestyle. There will be games, raffles, massages, a photo booth, live music and more. LACERS will have a booth there too, so come join the fun!

Pension Administration Software Will Provide Better Services and Security for LACERS and its Members
LACERS is in the process of implementing a new Pension Administration Software system. The biggest changes will be behind the scenes as we have made many improvements to how we do business at LACERS to make sure we provide the best customer service to you and all our Members. 

In a few months, MyLACERS, your access to account information 24/7, will re-launch with added features and functionality.

Additional information will be provided in upcoming emails and at www.LACERS.org.

Important Information Regarding Your Retirement Benefits
If You Plan on Transferring or Promoting to DWP – Reciprocity Has Been Suspended between LACERS and WPERP. On December 10, 2013, the City of Los Angeles adopted an ordinance suspending reciprocity, effective January 1, 2014, between the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS) and the Water and Power Employees Retirement Plan (WPERP). Application Requirement When Applying for Retirement
LACERS Members must file their application for retirement at least 30 days – and no more than 60 days – before their desired retirement date.
The only exceptions to the Application Requirement are those situations involving layoffs.  If you receive a layoff or termination notice, contact LACERS to review your retirement benefit options before you leave City employment.

Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERIP)
During the Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERIP) discussions, LACERS committed to retiring at least 350 members per month until the 2,400 ERIP retirements were completed.
