The Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System (LACERS) is seeking the services of a strategic planning consultant. LACERS is a defined benefit public pension system serving general employees of the City of Los Angeles. Originally approved in June 2004, the existing strategic plan was last modified in March 2006.

The primary role of the consultant will be to: 1) guide staff through the implementation process to ensure LACERS' successfully achieves their goals and objectives; 2) direct staff on proposed plan modifications; and 3) assist with related projects and/or reports.

The City of Los Angeles requires its contractors to adhere to the Standard Provisions for City Contracts and to comply with City policies on Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity, Child Care, Child Support Obligations, and Minority and Women Business Enterprises. Additionally, respondents must comply with LACERS' Marketing Cessation Policy and will agree to obtain a City of Los Angeles Business Tax Registration Certificate.
